New Site Design

Moving up to New York kind of set me back on stuff and I’m just now catching up again. First thing is I redesigned my website at AdamAmaral.com. I tried to keep with the same look but add a little extra **Sparkle!** (sorry i just tried to use the lamest adjective possible). As far as the Sierra Nevada animation, its probably the most time consuming project I’ve undertaken. ITs entirely handdrawn and animated frame by frame, as well as colored frame by frame but I think it’ll pay off in the end. I should have updates soon If anyone knows any easier way of going about traditional cell animation, it would be a huge help because I’m still kind of an amateur in that department. I will be back in Georgia for a little bit in August because in August 14th I’m participating in “The Human Soul Project” (website link coming soon…) which is a gallery show with my friend Sean Fahie and 5 other people. I’m going to do one motion graphics piece for the show as well as try to have 5-6 illustration pieces on display. I only have three weeks for that so to say the least i’m stressing. Let me know if you come accross any issues with the new site design, I think I worked out all the kinks but you never know. Time to get back to work…

Starting a new Project: Sierra Nevada

Original Logo
Sierra Nevada is delicious…so I decided to start a piece that will explain how sierra nevada is “truly” made (i.e. mythical salmon ninjas, cloud tears, and grizzly bear breath). I want it to be a hand drawn animation. I set out on working on recreating the Sierra Nevada Logo with a more handrawn and simpler feel. So I took out my lightbox and traced their logo then scanned it and colored it in illustrator.
